Typically wet Cumbrian weather ensured that many West Cumbria Youth League fixtures were washed out at the weekend but the games which did make it through were filled with action.
In the Under-12 League, St Bees beat Whitehaven Miners Social 8-0, Maryport Amateurs Red won 9-0 at Seaton Rovers and Whitehaven AFC Blue were 9-1 victors at Whitehaven AFC Yellow.
The girls’ Under-12 Blue League saw Whitehaven AFC Yellow under-11s beat Moor Row Black 2-1.
Allerdale Tigers won 2-0 at Moor Row Red in the red league and Cockermouth Blues beat Workington Diamonds Red 2-1.
Whitehaven AFC Yellow beat Maryport Amateurs 1-0 in the Under-13 League and Workington Reds White were 6-0 winners at home to Seaton Village.
In the Under-14 League, Seaton Athletic beat Maryport Amateurs 3-0 and Whitehaven AFC Yellow won 9-0 against the club’s Blue side.
The sole game in the girls’ Under-14 League saw a 9-1 win for Whitehaven AFC at Workington Diamonds.
The only Under-15 League game saw Whitehaven Miners Social run out 8-1 victors at Cockermouth United.
In the Under-18 League, Workington Reds beat Cockermouth Panthers 2-1 and Abbeytown won 1-0 at Maryport Amateurs’ under-17s.
