WHITEHAVEN RL and Workington Town have announced this week's game has been postponed.
The annual Ike Southward Memorial Game between the two West Cumbrian sides has been delayed due to poor weather conditions.
A spokesperson said: "Whitehaven Rugby League alongside Workington Town Rugby League Football Club can confirm the postponement of tomorrow’s scheduled Ike Southward Memorial fixture at The Fibrus Community Stadium.
"With amber weather warnings around the country with Storm Isha bartering the UK ground safety officers at Workington alongside conversations with both clubs have made the difficult decision with player and public safety an absolute priority.
"We understand this decision will come as a disappointment to both sets of fans but we look forward to our next meeting on Sunday, February 18 at The Fibrus Community Stadium in the final group fixture in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup.
"Further communication regarding fans who have bought early bird tickets will be announced by Workington in due course."
