A BIG reveal event will be held next week - as Workington Town encourage new businesses and fans to get on board in helping the club work towards it's 2027 pledge.

Sponsors, fans and any other interested business are invited to the Fibrus Community Stadium on November, 15  to a 'Big Reveal' event which will unveil the squad for the 2025 and see some announcements around plans for the future with new Head Coach Jonty Gorley - as well as reveal of the 2025 home kit.

Workington Town RLFC Chairman, Graeme Peers said: "In a year of many positives off the field we are doing as much as we possibly can to bring the on field performance of the men's team up to match those improvements made off the pitch. These were highlighted by a much improved IMG grading where we were ranked 24th and enjoyed a 7 place rise in the assessment from 2023.

"The women's team continues to go from strength to strength and the club continues to grow across many sporting areas.

"To inspire the local fanbase to get back watching their RL team we have made some important and difficult decisions, they were not easy, they were complex situations but now we are ready to reveal our squad prior to the players heading in for pre season.

"Our aim is clear, we need to be challenging at the top of the division and we feel we have assembled a strong squad, an exciting squad and we look forward to announcing the new business partnerships, the new playing squad and the new 2025 playing kit at our BIG REVEAL event at the club as well as hearing Jonty speak in depth about his hopes for 2025 and beyond.

"We felt we'd like to do something different this time, it's been a challenging year and we wanted to bring a real feel good factor back ahead of 2025 and we are very confident Jonty will deliver what we want, an exciting team, that is hard to beat and will knock hard on the door week on week and in his words take some scalps along the way.

"We would love to see businesses and fans really get behind the club, the coach and the new players in 2025 and help the board bring the good times back to the club.

"Without this support it makes the task much harder so if we work together we can get Workington Town back on the RL map. The club must and will drive for better times, we'd love to see you join us in getting there."
