In an end to end game, Ellenborough took the win 38-32 at the final whistle thanks to two late tries from Kevin Hoban and John Stoddart, both converted by Lee Birks.

Aspatria travelled to Great Clifton Lions and sealed a 28-12 win thanks to a commanding first half performance.

Flimby moved on in the competition after their opponents Broughton Red Rose could not raise a team.

Kells A recorded a 36-18 win over Egremont A with Grant Gainford declared man-of-the-match. And Seaton A had the advantage over Lowca to win 30-18.
