Rangers were 20-4 winners at Cleator Moor with Kevin Hoban leading the way with a brace of tries.
On Saturday, Distington continued their rich vein of form with a handy win at Maryport.
In a tight game, visitors Distington just came away with the spoils 28-20.
Hensingham were also victorious as they beat Ulverston 18-12.
Seaton and Glasson were not so lucky as they took on teams from the south of the county.
Seaton went under 32-24 at the hands of Walney Central while Barrow Island beat Glasson 22-14.
In the Iggesund Cumberland League, only two matches went ahead.
Aspatria emerged victors by 30 points to 14 against Great Clifton.
In the other game Kells A racked up a 40-0 scoreline over Broughton Red Rose.
